Who we are

Run 4 Cancer was set up by a team of running enthusiasts who have all lost a family member or a friend to cancer. As a cancer respite charity with a sporting focus, we provide relief from the difficulties of living with cancer.

Run 4 Cancer provides days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help both prevent cancer and assist in recovery post diagnosis.

Why run for us

We understand the importance of creating memories and we want to deliver 100 years’ worth of respite for UK families affected by cancer by 2025 – help us to make this happen even sooner!

Who we are

Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only charity that specifically focusses on improving pancreatic cancer survival rates through early diagnosis in everything we do.

From raising awareness of the symptoms with the public and funding early diagnosis research, to providing diagnostic tools for healthcare professionals and free information for patients and their families.

Our work has a direct impact on diagnosing people sooner.

Why run for us

By running for PCA, you will be going the extra mile for those affected by pancreatic cancer and together, we can make a difference.

Who we are

The New Forest Marathon Community Fund, works in synergy with the New Forest Marathon. Money raised goes back into the community to help support projects that inspire activity.

Why run for us

Obesity and inactivity are currently the 4th biggest killer in the UK, it is estimated that 62% of the adult population of Hampshire and 1 in 5 children entering school are overweight and obese. We work with community Groups across the New Forest to put on an event to inspire all ages to be active through the New Forest Marathon. In turn, we help each of these amazing groups plan projects to get more of their members active and to encourage wider participation across the community.View the New Forest Marathon Community Fund Page for an example of this in action and to see exactly how vital this funding is.
