How do I know where to stand and when to cheer?
Our Race Timing Guide predicts exactly where each runner will be, at any given time, throughout the races — based on 10 years of race data. Find out when the leading marathon runner will pass your spot, or what time the fastest 10K runner reaches the 5K mark.
Each viewing point comes with a what3words location, so you can find your exact spot on the course, plus a downloadable course map showing every junction.

What’s Happening in the Race Village for New Forest Marathon Spectators?
The Race Village is the heart of it all. Find the Finish Zone, warm-up stage, food traders, first aid, baggage, and toilets — plus registration and physio if you need them.
Our Race Village Map shows exactly where everything is, so you can plan your day before you arrive.

Is there live music?
Yes! Live music acts play the main stage in the Race Village for much of Race Day (for set timings see our Live Music page via the link below). Grab food and a well-earned drink from one of our traders, take a seat, and soak up the New Forest Marathon atmosphere.

Want to join in too, but don’t want to run?
You don’t have to stand on the sidelines to be part of race day. The Woodland Walk is a guided walk through New Forest National Park, open to supporters, non-runners and anyone who’d simply rather walk than run. Starting at 11:15am, it allows you to join a pressure-free event of your own in the glorious New Forest in the morning. Then, meet up with runners back at the Race Village for live music, food and celebrations together.

What should I bring as a spectator?
Comfortable shoes for standing and walking between viewing points, weather-appropriate clothing, and a bit of cash for the Race Village traders (card is accepted but the signal can be patchy, so some cash is a good backup). A portable chair is a great shout if you’re planning to stay for the live music.
What entertainment is there for children?
In addition to the excitement of cheering on the runners, there’s plenty for children to explore in the Race Village: food, drink, traders, activities and live music. This brings a real festival atmosphere that makes it a perfect family day out. Younger family members can also take part in or watch the Junior 200m and Junior 1 Mile in the afternoon, when the roles flip and the kids take centre stage.
